Ogilvy & Mather to acquire majority stake in Russian digital marketing services agency, Promo Digital
Ogilvy & Mather has agreed to acquire a majority stake in Promo Digital LLC in Russia (Promo), subject to obtaining regulatory approvals. Founded in 1997 and based in Moscow, Promo is a digital marketing services agency which specialises in creating internet, mobile and multimedia campaigns for a variety of clients in Russia. The agency employs 53 people and major clients include Gazprom, LG and MTS.
Ogilvy and Scangroup announce joint ventures in Ghana
Ogilvy and Scangroup, one of Africa's leading marketing services groups in which WPP also owns a minority stake, have established two advertising firms in Ghana as joint ventures with a local partner. Scanad Ghana Limited and Ogilvy Ghana Limited will take over the existing operations of Media Majique & Research Systems Limited and Ogilvy Africa Media.
Kinetic launches creative Out of Home division, Fuel
Kinetic, the lifestyle and environments communications agency has launched a dedicated creative division, called Fuel, in response to the increasing scope of out-of-home (OOH) advertising, including opportunities to integrate digital interactivity, dynamic displays, experiential and bespoke design into client brand campaigns. Working in collaboration with the Kinetic planning team, Fuel will keep clients ahead of the opportunity curve by providing insight and opinion on emerging technologies and identifying cross-platform opportunities to amplify OOH campaigns.
Digital marketing agency ZAAZ expands into Asia Pacific
Wunderman is launching ZAAZ across the Asia Pacific region to meet the increasing requirements for advanced analytics and optimization services. Founded in 1998 in Seattle, and member of the Wunderman network, ZAAZ offers a comprehensive range of services including targeting, usability, social, mobile, data/analytics, search and optimization; with a focus on delivering measurable results and monetization in the digital world.

GroupM forecasts 15.2% ad spending increase for China in 2011
Measured media advertising spending in China is expected to reach RMB 347 billion this year, a 15.2 percent increase compared to 2010, according to a new forecast from GroupM China. The study, This Year, Next Year: China Media Forecasts, is an upward revision to the group's global forecasts published in June. The report also projects advertising spending to reach RMB 406 billion in 2012 in China, a 16.9 percent increase compared with 2011.
