Wavemaker hires Nancy Tortorella as US Chief Client Officer

LONDON — Wavemaker, GroupM’s media, content and technology agency, has appointed Nancy Tortorella as US Chief Client Officer.

Based in the Wavemaker New York office, Nancy will oversee the client leadership practice across all US based clients, reporting directly to Wavemaker US CEO Amanda Richman.

Commenting on the announcement Amanda Richman said “I’ve always been impressed by Nancy’s commitment to client leadership excellence, to building fully-integrated teams, and to developing talent – she’s a fabulous addition to our executive team.”

Since 2009, Nancy has been the Executive Vice President, Managing Director at Mediavest where she was instrumental in building an integrated cross discipline team with a focus on digital and data at the core. During that time, she oversaw Bristol-Myers Squibb and led the Wendy’s QSR national business.  Nancy served as a member of the agency leadership team with a focus on talent development.

Nancy is a media veteran whose expertise spans 25+ years across a host of business categories, clients and agencies. She has spent the majority of her career at WPP agencies including Ogilvy, Mindshare and Mediaedge, leading clients including American Express, Astra Zeneca, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Kraft, Novartis, USAA, The Wendy’s Company and more.

Nancy holds a Bachelors of Arts with Cum Laude Honors from Providence College in Rhode Island.
